LOCATION: Online Zoom Event | DATE: September 28, 2021 | TIME: 12:00 p.m. EST

Marohn pulls back the curtain on the North American transportation system and explains why the conventional approach to traffic engineering is making people less safe, bankrupting towns and cities, and destroying the fabric of communities. The interviewer is planner and CNU board member Jocelyn Gibson.

On The Park Bench is CNU's webinar series presenting interactive conversations with thought leaders in New Urbanism and allied industries, providing an opportunity for the audience to engage in real time. Powered by the Congress for the New Urbanism, Public Square and On the Park Bench are built to add depth and rigor to the practice of urbanism and improve our capacity for creating inclusive, resilient places—places that people love.

Author’s Forum on Urbanism is a monthly series featuring authors in an hour-long, interactive discussion of recent publications on urbanism. The series, part of CNU’s On the Park Bench webinar program, takes a deep dive into each author’s insights through the lens of New Urbanism. The focus will be on one or two ideas that are embodied in the book, which advance the understanding of precedents and design strategies to repair and make sustainable urbanism. Attendees will have an opportunity to engage the authors during the session. Spearheaded by Dhiru Thadani, Author’s Forum on Urbanism will be held once a month on Tuesdays from 12-1pm ET.

All live On the Park Bench webinars qualify for one CEU credit from AICP (click here for more on tracking and reporting). Additionally, CNU-A members can earn one CEU credit for all live and recorded On the Park Bench webinars (click here for more information on tracking and reporting).
