Kunstler v. O'Toole

Last year there was a friendly debate between James Kunstler and the self-described Antiplanner, Randal O'Toole. At the time I searched for audio or video of this discussion but came up empty. Now, thanks to Justin of podcast fame, here's that video.

I thoroughly enjoy the work of both of these guys and was not surprised when they both attested on their websites that they found value in the other. In the reflexive construct that we have created in society, you are either pro-transit or anti-transit, pro-sprawl or anti-sprawl, pro-oil or anti-oil, etc.... Kunstler is a peak oil guy that drives a pickup truck while O'Toole is a hiking and biking enthusiast that advocates for the suburban pattern of development. You should not put either in an intellectual box.
