#PedestrianUnfriendly Highlights

Last week, we published an article by Sarah Kobos calling out developers for marketing their car-centric products as “pedestrian friendly.” Her post included a collection of images showing pedestrian unfriendly places that she photographed. The post ended with a call for our readers to share your examples of affronts to walkability on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #PedestrianUnfriendly. Here are some of the best submissions we received.

Ridiculous Crosswalks

Badly thought out—or complete lack of—crosswalks were also a favorite.

Poor Parking Lots

Let's Continue the Conversation

Thank you to everyone who participated.

We recognize that this is just a small selection of the poor pedestrian infrastructure that dot of towns and cities. Please continue to share your examples of affronts to walkability that you come across on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #PedestrianUnfriendly. We monitor the feed and continue to share some of the best right here.
