Rearranging Mental Furniture

September and October are always a whirlwind of Strong Towns events. Last month, we were in Edina, MN, Knoxville, TN, Salt Lake City, UT and Valparaiso, IN, and this month, we're headed to 11 different cities. (Find out if we're coming to your town on our Event page.)

At Strong Towns, we're always seeking feedback—on our site design, our content, our podcasts, you name it. We recently received some feedback on our September events that we want to share with you:

Chuck’s easy manner and quick wit combine to pull audiences into a deeper kind of reflection than they might have expected. This ability is called thought leadership—and making people think is about the toughest challenge a speaker can have. Chuck rearranges mental furniture.

Enjoyed Chuck’s refreshing ideas and blunt delivery. Though some points became a bit controversial, he has opened our leaders and residents’ eyes to some new concepts that will hopefully help inform future development.

The best word I can use to describe Chuck Marohn is generous - with his time, energy, knowledge and humor. Every student, professor or community member who engaged with him came away impressed and thankful that we’d hosted him at Valparaiso University. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the conversations Chuck helped start during his day here.
